Ghislaine Howard

For some years now I have set aside an hour or so a day a day to make a small painting in response to the news imagery that I find in my daily newspaper.I call them The 365 Series. So many of these images have the power and immediacy of the great paintings of the past and with or without the accompanying text they speak to me profoundly of what it is to be human and the apparent impossibility of making a difference.

Labels: Just seen Delacroix's wonderful Lion Hunt paintings in Madrid so thinking of them when painting this. The man was not killed and the leopard was captured.
